Vignette #2 - The Question

If Jesus did NOT really rise from the dead,

then none of the things He said actually matter,

because He was NOT who He said He was.

                  BUT,

If Jesus really DID rise from the dead,

then none of the objections and rationalizations WE say actually matter,

because Jesus has proven the most audacious of His claims already,

        so His deity should not be in question.

          So,

here's the only question that really matters: 

Did Jesus actually rise from the dead?

Your answer to that question (about an event that has been historically verified in several different ways by hundreds of witnesses) is the ONLY thing that should matter in your life.

If you answer "no", you are free to ignore all of Christ's teachings and directives for how to live your life... assuming you're correct.

And if you answer "yes", then you are admitting that Christ is indeed God, and therefore you cannot ignore His Words.

And since His Words include "No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6) and "Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish," (Luke 13:3),...

...your course of action is pretty well set, isn't it?"
